Cette semaine aura été marquée par la hausse des prix du soja, du maïs et du blé sur le marché à terme de Chicago. Le boisseau de blé grimpait jeudi à 4,80 dollars, permettant un gain de 3,78% sur 5 jours. Le maïs cotait à 3,62 dollars le boisseau (+44,24% en 5 jours) tandis que le soja s'échangeait 9,78 dollars le boisseau (+3,19% en 5 jours).
L'annonce d'une croissance de 11,9% en glissement annuel au premier trimestre en Chine a dopé le moral des investisseurs qui tablent sur une hausse constante de la demande du pays, considéré comme gros consommateur. La nouvelle a surtout profité au soja : la Chine achète à elle seule 60% des exportations américaines, selon le département américain de l'Agriculture (USDA).
